Wedding Reception in Colorado Springs

I made sure to get a picture this time with Rebecca.
Here are all of Taber's family with bride and groom. Their walls had a nice texture on them, not like our cinder blocks. The reception area was just right with a cozy atmosphere. We did have a receiving line for the first hour. At the end Taber's dad sang a song from Camelot "How to Handle a Woman" while his grandmother played the piano. We appreciated the privilege of hearing him sing.

TJ drove us down to Colorado Springs and came with us to the reception representing Rebecca's siblings. It was a fast weekend. we got up at 2:15 on Saturday morning and arrived in Denver at 9:30. We went down to Colorado Springs around 2:00 to Taber's home and visited and then went to the reception and back to Denver. We went to church with TJ and then flew back to LA at 4PM.

Wedding reception in Colorado Springs

The Copes hosted a very nice reception in their chapel. They had Japanese lanterns which I didn't get a picture of in blue, chocolate, and white. The flowers were peach colored and still not what Rebecca thought she wanted, but I think that both receptions had beautiful flowers and she was happy.

Taber's sister found blue ties for the groom, best man and the fathers, so that the colors were well represented.

Although we didn't have a dance Rebecca and her Dad danced to one of the songs being played as background music before the reception began.

Taber and Rebecca Cope

Coming out of the Temple Annex.
Reception at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Family and friends.

I have more pictures, but I only had time to upload these. I should probably do a slide show, but I've forgotten how to do that right now. We had a great time and we really fit lots of activities (eight) in just three short days!
