Christmas Morning

The brass faucets that Ted is unwrapping are a present from Evelyn's brother David. I'm sorry this is not great footage, but it will give you an idea of our morning.

Christmas 2009

Did you know that Mary and Joseph had to use a laundry basket at the laundry mat because there was no room in the motel?
We invited another family over for Christmas Eve in case you think that you notice extra Fowler children. Trevin was in charge and he did a nice job of reading the Christmas story and organizing songs. Then we watched the Church video on Christmas and it was a good ending to our evening.

Tanner and Rosalia chillin' on the couch.

Kimberly on a hot chocolate break at the end of the day on Christmas.

A picture of Ted with his new shirt from Bethany and the belt and buckle that Kimberly and I picked out when he said he wanted a belt from Big "D" Corral.
Ted cooked a great dinner and we had fun watching movies and playing games.

Celebrating Breyton's BIrthday

We celebrated Breyton's birthday a week early with a chocolate mouse an strawberry cake from a great local bakery.

Here is another train view. Jana may know the building, but I forget.
Since there are not enough pictures of Jana on her blog. I'm making certain that I include her in ours. She is certainly a wonderful mom.

Bontanical Garden Train show

Breyton, Evie, Jana and I went to the NYC Botanical Gardens to view the trains and the historical buildings from NYC made all of natural materials. The men stayed home to watch football. We did make it back in time to see the last of the BYU game. David said that it was the worst game that BYU didn't lose!
Breyton was fascinated by all the different trains and settings.

Breyton got to do several activities and here is Jana taking a picture of him. I put this in to show Kimberly that Jana loves the wrap she sent.

Here is Breyton peeking out of the Gingerbread house. He decorated a cookie and ate it, too.

Broadway and Wicked

We really enjoyed Wicked and we had the best seats. I did however realize that theater is just as excellent in Utah or California. Broadway just commands the best price.
David with Evie who is wearing the outfit brought by her grandparents.

Evie wearing the outfit sent by her Aunt Kimberly.

Little Evelyn's Blessing

We were surprised and delighted to find that as soon as we arrived in NYC baby Evie was blessed. We got to meet David and Jana's friends and that was a rare opportunity since our visit did not include Sunday.
Mother and daughter

The two Evelyns!

Virginia, we finally made it!

Eric and Cindy have a great location and a cute little house. The whole neighborhood is nice and spacious.
Here is a view out a window in their living room that looks out the side. You can tell that Cindy is getting closer. Only a month away until Dec. 22nd!

In this scene from Twelfth Night Olivia (right) declares her love for Cesario/Viola (left). We rented the backdrop and it made a world of difference.

My birthday and the cast of Twelfth Night

Here is the cast of Twelfth Night. We worked hard of two months on this production. It was in a thirties style (except our military uniforms)
Flowers for my birthday. Can't say that I feel different, but I am noticing new wrinkles!

Homecoming, etc.

Here I am outside the gym at the Homecoming dance. It took us over 12 hours to decorate!
Here is the dragon that we used for a background and some of my students dressed for Rock 'n Roll dress up day.

This is our first place door. We had a fog machine behind the door with "smoke" coming out from underneath the door and we played Moussoursky's Night on Bald Mountain, too. Your dad said the judges really liked the drama!

Here is Mrs. Shirley's room with her quote. This is for Kimberly.

This is New Orleans on Canal where I went for a Differentiation Seminar. I posed with Flat Stanley!

The Butchart Gardens in Canada

Entrance to the gardens which are 100 years old.

Part of the Italian Gardens.
The sunken gardens that were once a quarry and the inspiration for the gardens.

Sunken Gardens

Riding on the ferry from Tawassen to Schwartz Bay on Vancouver Island through the Gulf Islands which have nothing to do with a gulf.

Butchart Gardens

The hanging gardens.

Part of the rose garden. This does not do it justice. There are over 6,000 rose bushes.
This is one huge hanging basket!

VHA Seattle trip

Here we are on the Argosy Cruise from Union Lake to the sound through the locks. It was loads of fun.
The Seattle skyline. We are coming into pier 55.

This is as close as I got to the 5th Avenue theater. I took this for Bethany.

In the flower market at Pike's. Can you believe that bouquet is only five dollars? The hotel gave me a vase so that I could have it in our room. I left mine, but Becky Dobbins took hers all the way home to Louisiana on the plane!

Betty's 90th BIrthday, Aug. 19,2009

Here are a few pictures taken on Betty's 90th birthday. Janet and Bruce came down from Maine and Tom came over from Austin. I got a "weird hand" picture of Tom, but I'm not posting it because he got one of me and I don't want to see it on the blog either.

The Utah Girls, baby, and the Provo House

Here's the futon that we bought at IKEA and Jessica's orange bulletin board from home worked nicely on the wall.

I liked this picture of Ted and Shane because Shane has his eyes open.
Here is Becca in her living room next to her IKEA bookshelf.

Here are the Utah Girls with Shane. I was happy that Bethany got to come up and see the baby. She is moving this week and should be set up by next week. Or at least have her furniture. Rich has already left and will start work on August 3rd. We're happy that they got the best house to rent!

McKay's 4th Birthday Party

Here is McKay getting his big present from Grammi and Grandad. I found out later that his big brothers set him up to ask me for it!

Opening presents.
We bought 24 huge cupcakes from Costco and McKay picked out his favorite for his four candles.

Shannan has birds and McKay loved playing with them. Someone is trying to entice the birds to leave, but they seem happy to be with McKay.
