Talent Show

I had the privilege of attending the Michigan City Branch Primary talent show and of course my grandchildren were the stars. Brinley did a song from Taylor Swift with her friends complete with choreography and gymnastics.

Paige did a tap dance that she created and it was lots of fun, especially since she is self-taught!

Tanner and his friend did a dance from The Wizard of Oz and they were surprisingly quite good. I was impressed with the fearlessness of their performance.

This was one of the favorites. Bridger and Cooper danced to Kung Foo Panda. Bridger even did the slow motion part at the beginning before he launched into his routine. This is the best one of Bridger, but Cooper has some moves using the bench in the background that were very entertaining.

Porter is what my mother would call a "little plump dumpling." He does wiggle and smile even if the picture below has caught him in a contemplative mood.

Surprise visit on Memorial Day

Eric and Cindy surprised us by coming down for Memorial Day and since we hadn't seen Noah yet, we were thrilled. I liked this picture of Eric and Jessica and their babies.

Above is the third bedroom set up for sewing projects.

This is part of the great room on the left with the stairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms, the door to the garage and the sectional couch.

This is to the right by the back door to the deck on the opposite wall across from the door to the garage. This is the shelf we bought at IKEA. It worked well with Jessica's picture collage. To the right of the bookcase is the entry to the kitchen and also along this wall is the entry to the dining/office room.

This is the back wall of the great room. You can see the rest of the couch (the other part that makes the L). The decorative pillow shams and curtains we sewed in the project room! The back door is just to the right and the garage door on the wall to the left of this picture.

We brought up this chair and ottoman and the side table from our house. It makes a nice chaise lounge to relax with a reading lamp. These are more of the curtains. This picture is of the wall opposite the fireplace and the front door is to the right. The office is to the left. I forgot to take a picture of the office, but Skyler has a nice set up. He even positioned his desk so that he can see through the kitchen doorways straight to the TV in the great room! Jessica will have to post a picture to show you that trick.

Georgia Visit

We went to the largest IKEA I have ever seen and had (to Ted's delight) some pulled pork southern barbeque in a tent outside the store on Memorial Day. Shane is testing out the beans. He did seem to like them even though he's making a face here.

Shane and Noah are only five months appart. Do you think that they will be double trouble as two year olds!
