Eating at the Stingaree

Here we are for another year at the Stingaree! We are NOT getting older.

High Island Visit 2011

The Rookery in Smith Woods

Grandpa Norton pointing the way!

Celebrating Janet's birthday. She is wearing her new Texas Cowgirl shirt now that she is moving back to Texas and will now live in Houston.

Bird watching in High Island.

Nana and Paul ready to catch that Painted Bunting in their sights.

Flowers and butterflies

The stone rabbit that my mother gave me with the Louisiana Iris. I know its real name, but I can't spell it.

This is the climbing rose bush in the front and it has climbed into the crepe myrtle tree.

A view into the back yard with the cat sleeping.

Here I am with my ninth grade students in front of our butterfly wall. We collected 1,000 butterflies to donate to the Holocaust Museum Houston. The boy in the blue jacket is David Wilber's son Brien.

Beaumont Art League

Accepting Janet's award at The Beaumont Art League reception.
The Red Queen is now part of the Beaumont Art League's permanent collection.

Jenny T. was also in the show in her own little corner.

David helped me out with a school project. I only wish we had better material for him to work with!

Houston Trip

We went to Eagle's Trace to eat supper with Mom and Dad. Ted had had three of his four days of chemo therapy, but he was feeling fine. Mom's knee was doing better, so she was happy.

I took pictures of the clock that has been in our family for over 100 years. Here it is at David's with Janet's latest prints of Haley and Emily.

Utah Trip

I got to see Hayden and Maddi perform a Japanese Dance as part of a cultural study at school. Here they are after the dance trying to look "cool".
Bethany, Rosalia, and I are posing during a shopping trip.

This picture was taken at Bethany's house and I think even the baby is looking at the camera!

Here is the baby with the quilt I designed for her. It took me all week to quilt it. Can you see how much fatter she has gotten from the picture with me? We think that she weighs around 9 lbs. now. This is actually the last picture I took and it was taken on Sunday, Jan. 23 just before I left for the airport. I got these two posts backwards, but I know you'll be able to figure things out.

Going to Utah

Here is Halli with the dress and matching doll dress I brought with me from Louisiana.
Here is Gwenivere during her photo shoot with her Dad. Rebecca laid her in a doll trunk. She is wearing the sweater and onesie that T.J. and Michelle gave her with a fancy tutu added. She did have the jeans on earlier.

I took this oneof me with the snow in the parking lot of the Home Depot to prove to my students that I went to snow country.

Here I am with two and a half week old Gwenivere. She is doing beautifully and I hardly had to help Becca at all except I did get to hold the baby and (don't faint) I did cook supper. Becca did my hair.

Auntie Rosalia with the baby.
