Phoebe, the only true Norton girl on the island

Phoebe was stranded on the island by the volanic ash from Iceland that literally turned her plane around in the middle of the Atlantic and sent her scuttling for shelter in Texas. When the ash cloud disperses she'll try again to fly home and take her exams. In the meantime she is studying, bird watching, and trying not to be too bored with all of these adults!
Next to her father she looks short, but...

Next to her Aunt Carolyn you can see how tall she really is! It was fun getting to know her better. She wants us to have a reunion with all the the kids. And she will be in New York City for an orchestra concert in October. The volcano should have subsided by then.

Birds Just Passing Through

I brought hats for all the girls and here we are posing in our finery in front of the roses by the "Birds just passing through" sign.

Dinner at the Stingaree

Here are pictures taken at the Stingaree (and I hope I've spelled that right) where we celebrated Janet's birthday. It is at the end of the Bolivar Penninsula, but on the inter-coastal canal side. This is where Janet and I went for my class 20th reunion.

Dinner on the Bolivar Penninsula and Janet's Birthday

We celebrated Janet's birthday on Saturday with a cake bought from a church group. Paul bought a craft kit for Janet which turned out to be all box and hardly any craft!

April in DeRidder

Spring is here with the azaleas. Here is a picture, but without Rosalia :( We went to the Kwoks for dinner on Good Friday. Chuen barbequed and Lily made potato salad! We even had apple pie and ice cream! They wanted to do everything traditionally American, I guess.

Evelyn with effects

I was trying to do the cartoon version of Kodak Easy Share and it didn't quite work out. I tried the coloring book and everything disappeared. Just playing around.

Misc. Activities

Betty's valentine's from her boys.
Louisiana Association of Student Council's meeting in Shreveport. Coy Raiford, Tiage St. Romain, Thomas Broussard, and Ryan Hitchens and me.

The Hills dropped by the ward today. Ashley (with boyfriend) Lisa, Brad, Ross, and Chad (now 17!) Everyone looks the same except those huge boys on the right! It was great to see them. We hope they visit again soon because I didn't get to talk to them hardly at all!
