Rosalia with a friend at the Student Council District VI workshop.

Rosalia End of the Year Awards

Rosalia receiving one of her awards at the Awards Assembly for the school. She was also named Miss DHS. Stephen and Eric were both Mr. DHS, so it was good to have the girls represented.
Rosalia got a senior award, the most outstanding girl's tennis player and the Bob Huntington Award voted on by her teammates. David got this award in high school.
Here is Rosalia with her friend Taylor in my classroom. This is how the graduation gifts (personalized shower caddies) turned out that Bethany, Kimberly, and Rosalia worked on.
Rosalia is working on this dragon with her friends as her class's legacy. For those who know DeRidder High School, this mural is on the wall to the right when you come up through the glass doors.
IRosalia is petting the cat next to Jessica's rosebush that I transplanted from the back deck to the side of the oak tree in the front yard. I am very excited that it lived through the winter!

High Island Reunion

Here we are at our Norton April Reunion in High Island, TX

Janet and Carolyn in the shade.
Carolyn, Mom, and Paul. We had a great time playing horseshoes (I got a ringer and promptly retired),throwing washers into a tin can (Nana is the gold medalist in this sport) playing croquet (Paul won), flying kites (David's was the highest), taking lots of pictures, birdwatching, and just hanging out.
Rebecca, just returned from Madrid, Spain, with Rosalia and Nana.

Time in High Island

We went to the beach at High Island to fly kites and David had the highest one, the Hawk. Janet actually got her feet wet and Carolyn came in second with her kite.

Spring Break

We finally had enough dry weather to get our yard graded and sod put down. Now we have to get our fence fixed and grass seed down on the parts that weren't sodded. Janet and I also spent some time with our parents at High Island.

Conference Weekend

Brooklyn came to visit for the weekend with her mom and dad. Some of the flowers next to our patio and Janet's visit during spring break.
