Jessica and Eric

Eric and Jessica crossed paths today as Jessica arrived for Thanksgiving and Eric and his family are leaving to visit Cindy's family in Missouri. And yes I did put up a tree as you can see in the mirror.

Grandpa's 90th

My father's 90th birthday, Nov. 15, 2013---still going strong and as sage as ever. Thanks  Daddy for your stellar example as a parent.

Getting back on my Blog

Noah and Virginia with their new friends Raggedy Ann and Andy. My sister's friend Marta made them many years ago for Amy and Sarah, but after many adventures they have found Noah and Virginia who were very excited to see them and practically snatched them out of my arms when I brought them out.

Grandad and Virginia

I haven't been blogging because I didn't figure out how to do it from my iPad, but now that Cindy has shown me how, I will be posting current pictures. This one is just a test shot taken this Sunday.

The Wedding Dress Shadowbox

I put together a shadowbox about Rosalia's dress with the dressmaker's notes, pictures, and swatches of the materials used. Then I made this picture with the fun effects edit.

Evelyn before and after

I started my diet August 8th and weighed in at 160lbs. By my birthday November 4th I was down to 130 lbs. and then by the wedding 125lbs. After November I was in transition, but still losing weight. Now I am working to maintain and keep the weight off. Ted says that I don't look happy in the first picture because I'm not smiling. Guess what? I wasn't happy! Just took another bag of clothes to someone else. I am living in the clothes that Bethany gave me and everything is going well. It's nice to be a size 8 or maybe even smaller instead of a size 16 and maybe even bigger. Cindy helped fix this before and after picture.

Now we add the parents with the children. Welcome to the family, Nelson.
Finally, add all the spouses and we are excited to even out our numbers with our newest son-in-law.
Fixing the bride's veil so it doesn't blow off this time!

Wedding Day Celebrations

Ted and Evelyn at the brunch.
And Rosalia and Nelson soon to be wed, about three hours before the wedding.

Out of order

This is a hair picture to match the Long's pictures of their childrens' first haircuts on their wall. I was cleaning out drawers and my closet and found the hair I had saved from Rosalia's first haircut when she was ten years old. Yes, I did not have her hair cut until then! You can see the picture of her in the upper left hand corner just before Nancy White cut her hair. We didn't know about Locks of Love then, but when she cut it again in the ninth grade she donated her hair to that organization.
I thought if I followed the numbers straight down on my desk top I would get pictures in order, but that is not the case and I don't want to take them off because blogger can be fickle. This is Rosalia in her bedroom after the honeymoon with her new furniture.
